Three tracks, one set of criteria
Tracks
Each team enters one track. Every track is judged on the same five criteria, with a few extra questions per track. Open a track to read its full brief.
Southampton Coastal City
Build an AI-powered product for a real person in Southampton, whether that is a resident, a council officer, a local business or a visitor, that solves a problem connected to the city's port and coast, transport, environment, housing, streets or council services. There is no fixed list of projects: you choose the problem, find the evidence that it matters here and ship something that person could start using. There is no compulsory dataset, and there is plenty of public data on flooding, tides, buses, air quality, traffic, cruise schedules and council services. Set in collaboration with Southampton City Council.
